Idanha-a-Velha: Muralhas
The ancient Roman walls which have been embellished and set in value are the first to impress the visitor when he arrives at Idanha-a-Velha.

The enclosure has an oval shape and stretches for about 745 metres.

Two entrances are known (the North Gate has been magnificently preserved), besides seven defensive towers (four semicircular and three quadrangular).
