Museu da Guarda
It is lodged wihin the 16th-century building of the former Episcopal Seminary.

In 1940, the museum was created in association with the Centennial Comemorations of the Foundation of Portugal, and thanks to the efforts of a group of patrons: Alfredo Filipe, Ernesto Pereira, Alberto Dinis da Fonseca, Luciano Cardoso, Eduardo Lapa and Teodósio Ferreira.

The museum includes collections of archaeology, Roman coins, religious sculptures from the 17th-18th centuries, religious paintings from the 16th-18th centuries, arms from the 17th-19th centuries, ceramics, regional etnography, paintings and drawings from the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.
