Points House
One of the most emblematic constructions of the Gothic style in Lisbon, it was built in 1523 for Brás de Albuquerque to lodge the India Maritime Trade Association.

The earthquake of 1755 destroyed the interior storeys and it was named Casa dos Bicos because of the diamond-shaped stones that fill the façade.

The Lisbon City Council rebuilt the two top storeys in 1981 with the help of the EU.

The architect Daniel Santa-Rita based the recreation on a tile panel depicting the Ribeira Velha zone, belonging to the City Museum, where the existence of the storeys with twin windows and typical Manueline arches is clearly seen.

During the excavations prior to the works, Roman tanks for salting fish and a tower of the Moorish wall were found.
