Salemas Manor

Salemas Manor
Built by order of Dom Rui Salema, who came to live here, it was used in the 20th century as headquarters for the local firemen and for the GNR (National Guard), and although adapted for this purpose it didn’t loose its original aspect.

It now lodges the Municipal Library, which includes an auditorium, rooms for exhibitions and reading, audio-visual facilities and documentary services.
