Outside the town, the ancient Sanctuary of Our Lord of Martyrs is formed by several buildings which began to be constructed in the 13th century, during the Reconquest, were later enlarged in the 14th century and then altered from the 16th century onwards.

To the rectangular body of the church a chancel of the same shape was added on the eastern side.

The western wing was also extended with a square porch, over which a choir was built in the middle of the 16th century.

Only one the adjoining chapels is still left, precisely the first to be constructed.

The chancel was altered in the 18th century with a wood pulpit which covered the original high altar, which had been decorated with tiles between 1513 and 1514.
