Museum of the Ramos Pinto House
Founded in 1880 by Adrian, later joined by his brother Anthony, among other shareholders, the Ramos Pinto House was installed at different places at this home of the Port wine, now the historical center of Vila Nova de Gaia and an essential part of the Oporto area, recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage site.

Situated on the southern bank of the river Douro, the actual unit is formed by several cellars, some old lodges where the Port wine was blended and aged, and the main building which includes the managers´ offices, the reception room for visitors, a direct sales store and the cultural services, namely the Historical Archive and the Ramos Pinto House Museum.

Visitors have access to the cellars and to the chief installations of the building, which remain almost as they were created in 1907, and there are countless mementoes recalling the company´s history, such as the support it gave to the first flight across the South Atlantic, in 1922, by Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral, or the offer to Brazil of a monumental fountain.
