Zęzere Ecomuseum
A tribute to the river Zęzere, which rises in the Serra da Estrela mountainous range and eventually joins the Tagus at the Ribatejo prairies, going through countless changes along its course and thus fostering and nourishing different kinds of flora, fauna and rural settings.
Installed at the curious building which was once used as a granary by the Cabral family, it invites visitors to follow the river´s travels, also focusing historical, geological and social aspects, all pertinent in a town influenced by its course.

Pousada do Convento de Belmonte
Belmonte
Located on the hillside of Serra da Esperança, near Belmonte, where the sailor Pedro Álvares Cabral was born, it has its origins in the reconstruction of the ruined Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, where there is also a small chapel from the 13th century.
