New Wall
This new wall, concluded in the 14th century, was built to protect the population which lived outside Évora and thus encompass the growing town.

These fortifications include several gates: the Alconchel Door, the Avis Door, the Lagoon Door, the Machede Door, the Mendo Estevens Door, the Mosque Door, the Windmill Door, the Raimundo Door and the Rossio Door.
