Museu Arqueológico of Alcoutim is lodged in the castle.

Here, the visitor can appreciate artefacts belonging to the valuable archaeological patrimony of the county; the most ancient date from 5000 b.C.

The Neolithic, Roman, Visigothic, Islamic, Christian and Modern periods are represented at the museum, and it is the right place to obtain informations about the archaeological tour which includes sites of great interest all over the county.

Besides the cultural tour inside the castle, its history supplies information acessible to all visitors.

At the Castle´s Gallery, the Crafts House offers the best forms of expression of the local artisans.
