At Fonte Zambujo, in the parish of Pereiro, there is a museum nucleus which is complementary with the sections of Martinlongo, Giões and Vaqueiros.

While at Martinlongo the aim is to demonstrate how the social identity of the county' s population was formed, at Pereiro the purpose is to illustrate its culture and expressions.

The land' s cycle, the home and farming life, and popular poetry as a form of verbal expression are some of the aspects focused; the "evils" of body and soul and the "potions", based on supernatural and magical curing pratices, are part of the cultural habits which characterize the county.

The best place to obtain information about this and the other museum sections of the county is the Casa dos Condes, in Alcoutim.
