Archaeological Museum
It is within the walled space of the Castle that the Museu Arqueológico of Serpa is installed.

The ancient fortress stands alone and abandoned, surrounded by silence, and a small door leads to the place where treasures discovered in the region are displayed.

On the first floor, objects form the Paleolithic, Neolithic and from the Iron Age can be admired; on the second floor, vestiges from the Roman age are exhibited; remains of columns, tombstones, bones, etc.

To the right, a typical kitchen is reproduced, dominated by the great fire-place that is the heart of all Alentejo houses.
