Lamego Museum
Museu de Lamego is housed in the former Bishop\'s Palace, of which it inherited most of the contents that formed the original ehibition.
The museum is mostly of ancient and religious art, displaying permanently collections of sumptuous vehicles, Roman, Medieval and Baroque archaeology, ceramics and decorated tiles, religious garments, gilded woodwork, furniture, jewelry, sculptures, paintings and tapestries.
A special reference must be made to the five 16th-century panels by the great Portuguese artist Vasco Fernandes (Grão Vasco), which were part of the Lamego Cathedral retable, and to the collection of Flemish tapestries, dating from the 16th century and made in Brussels.
