Next to the St Francis Church, the impressive Palácio da Bolsa, in the Neo-Classical style, was built in 1842, reflecting the city´s commercial prosperity.

The grandeur of the Pátio das Nações (Nations´ Courtyard), the historical interest of the Commercial Court and the sumptuous President´s Salon are worth a reference.

The Arabian Room, entirely decorated with blue and gold arabesques, is surely the main attraction.
