The Castle´s ruins aren´t very appealing due to their deteriorated condition.

They are, however, known for a legend of Moorish origin.

The Castle was built during the Arab occupation: at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Castle, there is still a stone belonging to the primitive construction.

According to the local population, you can hear the sea if you put your ear against the stone, and if it is ever taken from the church, the ocean will dash over the land and flood the town...
