Sé Catedral
Practically rebuilt in 1070, over a temple many centuries old, the Sé de Braga keeps some vestiges of the original plan, with five naves.

However, the present building is more modest, featuring three naves, according to the canons of Cluny, and would become the matrix for the Portuguese Romanic style.

Ex-libris of the history of Braga, the Cathedral shows the architectonic styles of the several periods of its life, since its sagration, in 1093, to the present day.

Romanic, Gothic and Baroque are the main elements of a style medley which includes fascinating chapels (Kings, St Gerald, Glory) and an excepcional treasury.

Facing the high choir, visitors can see two pipe organs still in working condition.

One has 2400 pipes, some of them dipped in water, which produce a sound similar to that of birds chirping.
