Horse Carriages
The horse carriages (charretes) of Sintra are one of the ex-libris of this romantic town.

Evoquing the times when kings, noble people and rich merchants used to be seen around the corner, it is now fairly frequent to witness grooms and brides strolling along in this traditional vehicle on ther wedding day.

For the passing tourist, there are many excursion options, from a simple trip around the village to longer journeys (to Monserrate or the Pena Palace Gates); prices vary between 30 and 90 euros per carriage taking up to four people.
