Cadeia da Comarca
Cadeia da Comarca was built in the 19th century, to keep the local convicts.

Located in the heart of the town, next to the central Tourism building and Saint Martin´s Church (Igreja de São Martinho), the inmates used to disturb passing people with words and gestures, which led the population to complain and ask that the prison was transferred somewhere else.
