This is the text of an advertisement published by the Santo Tirso Municipal Tourism Council in 1967:

At Santo Tirso, each site is like a garden and an open window with views over the beautiful green scenery, so characteristic of the Minho.

Monuments: Santo Tirso (14th, 17th, 18th centuries); Roriz (13th century); Vilarinho (12th century); Singeverga (20th century).

Our Lady of Milk (sculpture from the 14th century) and Pietà (17th-century sculpture) at the Church of Santo Tirso.

Annual festivities: Rally «Donas Elviras» (old automobiles); Late Nigths of the River Sanguinhedo (typical illuminations); St.

Benedict Feasts; Minho Husking of Maize; Artistic festivals.

Dancing: from the 15th of July to the 30th of September, open air, at the esplanade of the Tourism tea-house.

Tennis, rowing, fishing, swimming.
