Seteais Gardens
The Jardim de Seteais surrounds the spectacular Palace of Seteais, and although the bulding is now a luxury hotel unit, the gardens are open to the public and the entrance is free.

The place is connected to a local legend that tells the story of a Moorish queen who used to take walks there and that once, during an amorous encounter, let seven "ais" (sighs) of pleasure escape her which were heard throughout the region.

The lay-out of these gardens is harmonius, with a vast grass lawn flanked by countless species of trees, plants and flowers.
