Gardens of Pena
The Jardim da Pena surrounds the National Palace of Pena, in the middle of the Serra de Sintra.

It stretches along nearly 500 acres, and is considered one of the most beautiful of Europe.

More than two thousand vegetation species can be found here, of which some are extremely rare, like the araucarias and the giant magnolias.

In a decidedly Romantic style, countless grottoes, fountains, ponds, statues and mansions are found along the park, so that there is always something new for the visitor to discover.
