Among the themes focused, the most popular display includes some fossilized dinossaur vertebrae and a crocodile skeleton found in the zone of Lourinhã.

Important vestiges from the Jurassic period have been discovered in the region, and two unique species were identified here: the Lourinhanosaurus antunesi and the Dinheirosaurus lourinhanensis.
