Close to Vila do Bispo, Raposeira is a village mentioned in history books as having been one residences used by prince Henry the Navigator.

The parish church (from the 16th century and with Manueline portals) exhibits, at the back, a strange ornamental effect, made by a human face cut into the white wall.
